If the mass of air at sea level is 1034 g cm–2, calculate the pressure in pascal.

P=F/A=1034g/cm2×9.8m/s2=1034/1000×100×100kg/m2=1.01332x105kgm-1s-2

1 N = 1 kg m/s2
Then,
1Pa=1N/m2=1kgm-2s-2Pa=1kgm-1s-1Pressure=1.01332×105Pa
